Join us as we travel through time to meet some women from the past. Costumed re-enactors will feature some of history’s most amazing women. These adventurers, explorers and rebels used individual talents and strengths to overcome adversity and hardship. They opened doors for women and made the world a better place for all. Local actress Stephanie Goodman will bring to life Margaret Hays, of Jackson County and abolitionist, Julia Lovejoy, Kansas Territory, in this dramatic interpretation of Missouri’s troubled past. Ms Goodman has done extensive research and written the script using letters and diaries from both women. Hear thier first hand accounts of local events including The Pottawatomie Massacre, the woman’s prison collapse and Order Number 11.
Usually a one woman show, Ms. Goodman has expanded her script for this performence to include musicians, a gospel ensombel, and a full cast of actors.
